Gulmarg– meaning the valley of flowers – is a cup-shaped valley surrounded by snow covered peaks and this makes it a premium sporting destination for golfers as well as skiers. Not to be missed on a trip to Gulmarg is the gondola ride or the cable car. It is the world’s second highest( height of 3980 meters) and second longest (5 km long) ropeway project, which will enthrall you with the panoramic views of the great Himalayan ranges, which takes you to the Apharwat peak, which shows a clear view of the LoC.

Gulmarg in Kashmir is at its best of natural beauty in the summer months of April to June. However, if you are a winter sports enthusiast, December to Mid March would be ideal.
