Wayanad (literally meaning the Village of Paddy fields) is a hill station located on the Nilgiri hills in the South Indian State of Kerala – known as 'God's Own Country'. Wayanad is breathtakingly beautiful with its forest area, waterfalls, historical caves, spice & coffee plantation sand wildlife set in the backdrop of misty mountains. This heady mix of beauty is best explored on foot or bicycles. It is also famous for its tree houses which provide a unique experience to tourists.
Wayanad has a pleasant climate throughout the year but the best time is October to May. A lot of rain is experienced from June to September but that too adds a freshly washed charm to this land.
